History of the London Sections

The 1950s was an era of expansion in cycling and the membership of Clubs and Associations. St. Christopher’s  attracted many more members and particularly in London.

Work is now going ahead to establish information on the formation of the London Sections, dates, place, founder members, runs captains.

Please contribute if you are able. Photographs are welcome but be aware of the Data Protection Act.

Some pointers from the annual Rallys.

In 1949 J Pond was riding for Herts.

In1950 j Pond, J Clark andJ Hession were with Herts.

Up to 1952 always London.

In1953 L Willig, M. Stapleton and A Desmond were riding for London

In 1954 at the London Rally
